This option allows you to make
sure certain cookies are not deleted from your system when/if the cookie
folder(s) are cleaned out. Support for Microsoft Internet Explorer browser
(version 4 and upwards) only.
Cookies are small files created by some
web sites that you visit and stored on your computer. A cookie can be read back
by the site which made it (but not other sites), for example to see which areas
of the site you have visited, what you have purchased, or to remember
login/membership details. Some people see cookies as a means for web sites to
'spy' on visitors, compromising privacy.
The type of cookies which
remember membership details are useful merely because you don't have to keep
entering your membership details when you return to the site in question. You
may wish to save these and other cookies from being deleted when cleaning
Internet Explorer's cookie folders with CD2K3.
Note: Although you can
turn off and block cookies with Internet Explorer, some sites cannot be
navigated unless cookies are accepted.
